These past few days, the bromine value of the solvent oils we use (6# and 120#) has suddenly increased, and we’re unable to identify the reason for this! Everyone, please help analyze it. Thank you! There is an extraction unit in front of the solvent oil, and the extraction solvent is tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether. The solvent is load 5. 5T/H, solvent oil reflection temperature 199 degrees
What is the raw material for your extraction device? Personally, I think the estimate is likely to be closely related to the bromine price of the raw materials.
Upstream of our facility, the refined oil produced through semi-regenerative reforming is washed using an extraction system; the non-aromatic components obtained from this process are used to produce solvent oils of type 6 and type 120. Currently, the bromine value for type 6 is within normal ranges, while that for type 120 has always been around 0.2; however, it suddenly rose to around 0.3 yesterday. The raw materials should be fine, as the platinum material tank in use hasn’t been changed, and there haven’t been any significant changes in the previous operations.:
The reaction depth isn’t sufficient; try increasing the reaction temperature!
What kind of catalyst is used in the solvent oil refining process – nickel-based or precious metal-based? The reaction temperature of 199°C isn’t very high; it might be possible to increase it slightly. Check the data related to the raw materials as well.
