Feasibility analysis of changing Shell’s methanol (monohydric alcohol) production to diol production (for co-production of ammonia)? Analyze its feasibility from a technical perspective. A plant of 12.20 million tons of synthetic ammonia and 20 million tons of urea at a sister company is to be converted to produce hydroxymethanol – is it possible to carry out the conversion in the reverse direction?
