I don’t think nuclear weight scales are very accurate; they require calibration using actual samples. When there are significant differences in parameters such as ash content and moisture level between the coal used for calibration and the coal actually used, this affects the absorption of radiation and thus impacts the accuracy of measurement. Therefore, I believe nuclear weight scales are suitable for coking plants where the coal supply is stable. If the coal source is unstable and varied, it’s better to use electronic weight scales, which can generally keep the error within 1%, and their accuracy is ensured as long as they are calibrated regularly, regardless of the quality of the coal
