Single-tower pressurized side-line ammonia extraction process, with a processing capacity of 65 t/h, and a cold-to-heat feed ratio of 1:4–5. The bottom temperature is 162, and the top temperature is 60–80. How should the side stream extraction ratio and the ammonia circulation ratio be controlled? How much is appropriate to control?
The poster describes a process for pressurized stripping of sulfur-containing wastewater in a single tower, with ammonia extraction through a side stream. This technology not only eliminates the environmental pollution caused by hydrocarbons and ammonia in the wastewater, but also enables the separation of ammonia and sulfur during the stripping process, allowing for their recovery and reuse. The principle of this technology is that under stripping conditions, NH3 and H2S in the vapor phase exist in molecular form. Under certain temperature and pressure conditions, when the ratio of NH3 to H2S molecules is greater than 5, 99.8% of the H2S in the solution is retained in the liquid phase as an H2S solution; thus, the ammonia-rich gas extracted via a side stream can be condensed to yield high-purity ammonia. The solubility of hydrogen sulfide is lower than that of ammonia. However, the saturated vapor pressure of hydrogen sulfide is much higher than that of ammonia at the same temperature; therefore, its relative volatility is also much higher than that of ammonia. As a result, as long as there is a certain amount of free hydrogen sulfide in the solution, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the gas phase in equilibrium with it is very high. Thus, a high-concentration hydrogen sulfide gas with little ammonia can be obtained at the top of the stripping tower at lower temperatures. For any two devices using the same manufacturing technology, their actual operating parameters cannot be exactly identical during operation. Therefore, regarding the issue raised by the original poster, one can explore practical approaches based on the principles mentioned above in order to continuously optimize the metrics. However, in the process of exploration, adjusting or optimizing operational parameters must be guided by its technological principles. This is just my personal experience, for reference only.
