Does the neutron level gauge system in the coking tower need to be calibrated regularly?
How to calibrate? I’ve never heard of it; as long as the instructions are followed, that should be fine. If anyone enters the tower during maintenance, it’s best to turn off the radiation source!
It needs to be calibrated during its first use; water must be filled into the tower (for full-scale calibration). At 0% level, i.e., when the tower is empty, the level gauge manufacturer will take the initiative to contact the production unit to carry out the calibration. Otherwise, calibration will have to wait until coke is loaded into the first tower, which poses certain risks；
