During on-site operations, it is common to encounter situations where the pump does not deliver the required flow rate or even runs dry. There are various reasons for this issue, and different solutions apply to different situations. The reasons I have encountered and their corresponding solutions are as follows: 1. The pump and pipelines are not filled with liquid; there is air present. Solution: Remove the air and then fill the pump with liquid. 2. The filling height is insufficient, and there is air leakage in the inlet pipeline. Solution: Lower the installation height, reduce the resistance in the suction pipeline, increase the inlet pressure, and eliminate the air leakage. 3. The inlet pressure is lower than the vaporization pressure of the liquid. Solution: Increase the inlet pressure. 4. The pump’s rotation speed is insufficient. Solution: Adjust the pump’s rotation speed to the specified value. 5. The pump is rotating in the wrong direction. Solution: Change the connection order of the three-phase power supply. 6. The gap between the impeller and the pump body is too large. Solution: Replace the impeller or other spare parts. 7. There are debris blocking inside the pump or in the pipelines. Solution: Remove the debris
