Thread Content
While organizing the safety-related materials to upload to the sharing area, I encountered a problem: some of the materials had replies attached to them, and according to the guidelines, such replies should be deleted. Some of the replies have already been rated. It seems that if the rated reply is deleted, the rating is also removed; I’m not sure if that’s the case. However, some of this content was moved here from discussion forums or other sections; it’s normal for posts to receive replies in other sections, but once they are moved to this section they have to be deleted. Is it possible to delete only the replies without removing the ratings? I’m not sure if the server can do that technically!
Yes, once such a reply is deleted, the points are lost... Generally speaking, replies that have already received points are not deleted... they can be kept...
The points from the topic post will be deducted, but the rating will remain. So don’t worry; you can delete it without any issue.
I don’t think it’s necessary to delete replies, but if they are spam posts, they should be removed; otherwise, simply close the thread so no further replies are possible
If the main post is deleted, the scores assigned to that post are not deducted; therefore, the scores of the replies to that post should also not be deducted. What if someone keeps posting irrelevant content in an excessive manner? What should be done? Points must be deducted, right? What is the purpose of deducting points? It’s mainly to issue a reminder and warning about the post, noting that it violates the forum rules ; But this post is another violation-related spam post – what should I do? Just delete it. If replying to a post and then deleting it doesn’t result in any penalty, then it’s better to simply delete the post from the start without imposing any penalty. In that case, those who post spam won’t be given the necessary warning, and similar posts will continue to be uploaded to the forum.
