In the long term, it is better to install a crude oil distillation unit alongside hydrogenation, aromatic reforming, and hydrocracking units, as this offers broad prospects for development.
With the new refining units being introduced now, although this can reduce investment costs, there is no long-term growth potential. It’s still better to focus on improving and completing existing units; first and foremost, all necessary processing methods should be available, as the saying goes, \"If one path is blocked, another will appear.\"; Second, one must have its own flagship products, that is, specialty products, such that what you have is something that others don’t have, and if others have them, yours are superior ; Third, move towards niche products; don’t all crowd into the same path. I believe that local refineries should not simply expand their scale; they need to take into account regional factors and transportation capacity.
Generally, once it’s built jointly, it’s easier to provide all the necessary facilities. If a distillation unit is used alone, how should the secondary processing be handled? Jointly allocate human and material resources in the province.
It’s better to operate the atmospheric pressure units separately from other facilities. Nowadays, crude oil is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain; some plants have very short operating cycles for their atmospheric pressure units, so it’s better to use combined units for coking, catalysis, and hydrogenation.
