In the production of hydrofluoric acid from fluorite, what is the optimal grade index for fluorite?
Silicon: 0.5%, Water: 0.1%, Calcium carbonate: 1%; mainly 98%
It’s hard to find stone powder now, with over 97% of it out of stock, right?

It depends on the process used to produce hydrofluoric acid. If a distillation system is employed to produce anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, then the quality requirements for fluorite are relatively low; however, the higher the silica content in the fluorite, the higher the cost per unit produced. If hydrogen fluoride gas is used without distillation, then higher quality fluorite is required, with a purity of over 97% being the minimum standard, and the higher the purity, the better. Yet it’s difficult to find fluorite with a purity of over 98%, and if such material is available, it is quite expensive!
