I wonder whether the original poster works with the solid form or the suspended version. The reason for the large fluctuations in polymerization temperature is definitely a problem with the control system, and it is certainly possible to resolve this by adjusting the control system. The formula can only address the maximum heat release, but not the fluctuations.
