Security filters are generally replaced only after 3 to 6 months of use; it’s likely that there are many solid impurities in the wastewater feed from upstairs. The quality of the incoming water should be assessed, and appropriate measures taken accordingly. What type of wastewater causes water intrusion upstairs?

I work in the field of filtration equipment, and I’ve never seen or heard of any method for cleaning melt-blown or wound fiber filter elements. The frequency of replacing them once a month, as mentioned by the original poster, is quite high; it might be advisable to install a bag filter in front of the safety filter, or to use a safety filter with a coarser filtering precision, in order to protect the filters that follow it~
Filter elements are basically disposable, but replacing them every month is a bit too frequent; this is likely due to inadequate pre-treatment. It is recommended to check the pre-treatment system to ensure that the SDI of the water after pre-treatment is below 5.
The vast majority of filter elements are disposable; even if one tries to save money by cleaning them and using them again, the filtering efficiency may not meet the required standards. We have a self-cleaning device installed in front of the security filter, followed by a 20-micron filter element for purification; after one month of operation, the pressure difference exceeds 0.2 MPa. The water quality we use comes from exchange columns as well! ~

The cost of a security filter is just a few dozen yuan; don’t you think your method is a waste of time and effort? Besides, even if this is done, it is not possible to fully regenerate the filter element. Since the filter elements used for security filtration are definitely multi-layered, when you clean them, you can only remove the impurities on the surface of the elements as well as some of those that have penetrated into the inner layers; many other impurities remain undetectable and cannot be removed. In this way, the filter element that you have replaced after cleaning gets clogged again shortly after being installed. Core filters have many bolts, and it’s very troublesome to replace the filter element; have you considered the labor costs involved? Therefore, cleaning the filter element is not cost-effective; it is better to replace it instead. If the original poster finds such costs to be too high and wishes to reduce them as well as minimize the hassle involved, they can switch to bag filters. Since bag filters have a large filtering area and can handle a large amount of dirt, and their replacement is simple, in terms of long-term usage (over a period of one year), this approach can significantly reduce operating costs and the effort required to replace the filtering elements.
:) Both security filters and ordinary membrane filters can become clogged easily. I know of an FBL filter that works very well. Filtering industrial wastewater results in water quality similar to that of tap water. There is no issue with blockages.
