What to do if the ammonia separation level gauge is distorted
The following points are provided for reference: 1. Based on past experience, what is the typical opening degree of the ammonia level control valve under the corresponding load?; 2. Based on the valve opening curve of the ammonia level control valve before distortion ; 3. Stabilize the load, and manually adjust the valve to an appropriate opening degree based on the above two points ; 4. Adjust the stable opening degree of the liquid level control valve in the ammonia separation collection tank, and further adjust the opening degree of the ammonia separation liquid level control valve ; 5. Expedite the installation and commissioning of the level gauge.
Maintain low liquid level operation. It is possible to determine if there is air leakage by checking the ammonia pressure gauge, just like with the oil discharge from a compressor. Our small system doesn’t have a level gauge at all (which is of course not good); over time, operations still rely on experience.
1. It is possible to switch to manual mode based on the usual valve position of the control valve, and adjust the valve position to the corresponding value; The liquid level can be determined based on the pressure behind the self-acting valve ; You can also contact the person in charge of the circulation machine and ask them to drain oil frequently, to check whether there is frost on the oil drainage pipe; frost formation indicates a high liquid level. The liquid level can also be determined based on the ammonia content entering the tower, so that adjustments can be made in a timely manner. 2. Contact the instrumentation staff immediately to handle it ; 3. If there is a level gauge on site, operations can be carried out by referring to the on-site level indication
When the ammonia level gauge fails, in order to prevent accidents caused by liquid presence, it is possible to adjust the level to a lower position and allow a small amount of gas to flow through for operation; at the same time, pay attention to the following points; 1. Pay attention to the ammonia pressure. Do not set the ammonia release pressure too high to prevent large amounts of high-pressure gas from leaking into the low-pressure system. Generally, when the pointer of a pressure gauge starts to oscillate, it indicates that there is air leakage. 2. Touch the ammonia pipeline with your hand to check if it is cold or frosted; if the pipeline is cold or frosted, it indicates that gas is escaping along with the fluid. 3. Listen to the ammonia sound. The sounds of liquid discharge, gas release, and the discharge of a mixture of gas and liquid are all different.
