Which 3D piping design software is easy to learn? Where should beginners without any guidance start learning?

Abroad, PDS and PDMS are the main software options; both are developed by American companies, they are effective but quite expensive. The 3D software available in China is not yet mature and has many issues, so it cannot compete with those abroad. PDSOFT is a product of a company based in Beijing; our company uses it, but I find it relatively easy to learn although it still relies heavily on manual operations in many aspects. It also does not allow multiple specialties to work together on projects, and it is far inferior to PDS and PDMS

Foreign PDS and PDMS products are indeed excellent. Among the domestic software programs that are often discussed is PDSOFT, PDMAX, etc. PDSOFT comes in a D version which can be purchased for a fee, while PDMAX offers a free trial version.

Yes, PDMS is easy to learn, but when it comes to piping design, PDS is more convenient. As for which software produces more aesthetically pleasing drawings, PDMS has its advantages. But look at domestic software developers – no one tries to develop new platforms on their own; they always try to work within CAD frameworks, thus following someone else’s path instead of forging their own. It’s sad that Chinese software developers don’t consider this area, even though there’s great potential here. PDS costs over 200,000 per license, and that’s only for a limited time – small companies can’t afford it. Moreover, there’s still no cracked version available
For this, it’s necessary to have actual projects to work on; otherwise, the learning won’t be systematic enough
Developing a new platform is no easy task. After all these years of development of domestic CAD software, there is still **no support**, and the situation hasn’t improved; let alone for software developers.
CADWORX is also a 3D piping software that is being promoted; it is based on the AutoCAD software and is mostly used in small-scale chemical industries, offering good functionality.
