The shifted gas entering the hot water tower has a temperature of around 160 degrees and contains a large amount of steam, which is used to recover heat within the hot water tower. The hot water, after having its heat recovered, flows into the saturation tower via a water seal to saturate the semi-water gas. The function of the water seal is to prevent semi-water gas from mixing into the shift gas when the liquid level in the hot water tower is too low, thereby avoiding an increase in the oxygen content in the shift gas.
