Seeing a post written by a fellow sea traveler in the forum titled “Suddenly lost my passion for work,” I smiled slightly, or rather, I gave a wry smile. To survive, I spend every day in front of the computer, mechanically drawing. More than once I’ve thought that if my family’s financial situation were a little better, I wouldn’t need student loans, and I wouldn’t have to leave CNPC; by now I would probably be married as well ; Or if I earn money only to spend it on myself, then I should have saved enough money by now to pay the down payment ; Or, if I weren’t a hepatitis B virus carrier, I would be in Beijing now, earning over 10,000 yuan per month, and by the end of this year I should have saved enough money to pay the down payment ; But there are no \"what ifs\" in my life. The reality is that my family’s financial situation is poor, and I need to repay my student loans; that’s why I left CNPC. So I’m still single now ; I can’t spend all the money I earn on myself, as my sister is still in school. So I basically have no savings at the moment, let alone a house ; I am a hepatitis B virus carrier; currently I am in Nanjing and earn a monthly salary of 3,000 yuan. I have no idea when I will be able to afford a house. The passion was gone long ago, but I’ve kept trying ; There are noifs in my life; I have to move on.
There are things that cannot be measured by one’s own well-being; because of various challenges, and for the sake of loved ones and others, there is a direction in which to strive, and that’s why we keep working hard. Sometimes, acting for the sake of others can unleash more energy in you, and it’s also a very happy thing to repay what others have done for you. This post was last edited by hhai on 2009-2-9 20:57.]
When one is poor, their aspirations are limited! I’ve been working for 4 years now, and I really understand it well! Top poster, life is realistic! !
Life is often full of such helplessness; every family has its own troubles. Just like Li Ka-shing, he faces many challenges as well – he tries to maintain and even improve his achievements, constantly thinking about ways to ensure that others can’t surpass him. Everyone is striving to solve their own problems, and perhaps after resolving those current ones, there will be more yet. Hehe~~ People are just constantly busy working hard
Most people can understand the helplessness of LZ, but life must go on; we all need to look forward. Your sister will eventually graduate, and you will be able to repay your loans. There’s nothing to fear about being a hepatitis B carrier – as long as one develops good hygiene habits. Wishing the original poster good luck!
I don’t understand what connection there is between student loans and leaving CNPC~~~ But I hope the original poster keeps going; as long as one can still earn money and one’s family is healthy, that’s enough. Happiness is not measured by houses, nor is it determined by how prosperous a city you live in is. Happiness is your own feeling, your efforts, and what you gain from them. .
Happy people are all the same, but those who are unhappy each have their own troubles. I hope the original poster will work hard; even if everything goes as you wish, you will still face different or perhaps even more problems. Believe in yourself and keep working hard~~~ Hehe~~~ All difficulties will pass~~~
Thank you all for your concern. I’m not doing well right now, but it’s not that bad either. I had to leave CNPC because there wasn’t as much money there as people thought. I started working in 2005, and by 2007 I still hadn’t repaid a single penny of my student loans. My brother needed to go to school, and my sister did too; so I had no choice but to leave CNPC and work for a private company. I only paid off my student loan last year. If I had stayed at CNPC, I might still not have repaid my student loan (which was due in September 2009). But I am very grateful to CNPC and miss it; working there for over two years, I gained a lot, and there are things I will never have again. Hepatitis B carriers aren’t a big deal, but some people do care, especially in big cities. In 2007, I found a job in Beijing; I passed the interview, and the salary was around 6.5k per month. But in the end, things didn’t work out because I had a Class B work permit. In 2008, through a colleague from my previous employer, I came across a design firm in Beijing. The salary mentioned was around 8k to 10k. After talking on the phone, things seemed fine, and they suggested that it would be better to meet in person. I told them that I was a hepatitis B carrier, and they said they wouldn’t reject someone because of that, but my experience wasn’t sufficient to justify taking on the risks I might pose to the company.
One still needs to work hard; money can solve most problems.
Keep going; as long as you have confidence and stay committed to your ideals, things will definitely get better. Life must go on, and there is beauty even in the ordinary. I hope you can savor every day with care.
Hepatitis B carriers have indeed prevented many people from achieving a happy and successful future. It is understandable that quite a number of companies refuse to hire such individuals. Let’s pray that advances in medicine will enable a cure, so that those who are not yet infected can be protected through prevention. May current hepatitis B carriers be able to work happily!
There is always a way when one reaches the foot of the mountain. Take life and work seriously; believe that everything will get better!
Come on~~ I have passion, but I just don’t put in enough effort~~~
Work is already boring enough. But there’s no choice; one has to live. Even if I give you fish every day, you might still think that’s not enough
If life had so many \"what ifs\", perhaps the world wouldn’t be so lovely
Don’t lose heart; heaven is fair. Perhaps this is a time when you are being tested, and soon the hardships will give way to happiness

I’ve finished reading it. I hope the original poster won’t see responsibility as a burden; instead, they should have the courage to take on responsibilities, more responsibilities, so that their life isn’t wasted.
Dude, a man has to learn to take responsibility. The tough situations of today can temper your character; this is just the beginning. Who doesn’t face some challenges in life? Just go ahead and deal with them.
Yes, I’m increasingly losing interest in my work. The manager also keeps finding excuses to criticize me; it’s really frustrating
