I once uploaded a master’s thesis from CNKI, and the author of the thesis claimed it was a technical secret of their company! I wonder if everyone agrees with this view! Actually, since the paper is published on CNKI, it’s no longer confidential! You can apply for a patent to protect it. In fact, you can ask CNKI not to make your paper public! Of course, whether uploading materials from CNKI involves copyright issues, haha! ! I don’t think it’s necessary that often! The key is to share information and improve together!
I completely agree with the original poster’s view; if it can be found, then there is no such thing as a secret.
It’s not necessarily the case; nowadays, online functions are extremely powerful, and it’s basically possible to find anything one wants to search for. Confidentiality also comes in different levels – what the original poster is referring to is a lower level of confidentiality, where information can be accessed by others. When posting on HaiChuan, one needs to be careful as well; if a document or report indicates that the content is confidential, it’s best to take that into account. Communication should be done through emails. After all, at present, HaiChuan makes its documents available to everyone – as long as one has the necessary resources and access rights, they can download them.
