Our waste heat boiler has been in use for less than a year, and recently we noticed a decrease in the gas production volume. We suspect that ash accumulation is the cause, but the boiler wasn’t originally equipped with a soot blower. We are considering installing one; we’re not sure which type would be suitable. We don’t have a soot blower. None of the dozen or so burners I saw were equipped with soot blowers.
We have really never encountered the installation of soot blowers on waste heat boilers! We can think of other ways!
Can nitrogen or low-pressure steam be used to blow away dust accumulation (during shutdown for maintenance)?
Our factory’s remaining boilers are equipped with soot blowers; the dust content in the gas is too high. It seems to be a brand from Shanghai called Boiltech
Our waste heat boiler was not originally designed to include soot blowers; they were added during installation. Since they were not part of the original design, the boiler could not be coordinated with the soot blower manufacturer, which made installation complicated. There was no specific area on the membrane wall designated for inserting the soot blower, so the nozzle of the soot blower had to be modified before it could be installed; those soot blowers came from Wuhan Hangyu. Blow it once per class, and the performance is quite good.
Is steam the medium used by the soot blowers on the 5th and 6th floors?
Our waste heat boiler as well – I suggested to the management that soot blowers be installed; we checked several manufacturers, but the management disagreed. Now, soot blowing is done once per shift, and the results are fairly good. (A few temperature monitoring devices were added during the major repair; usually, when it is detected that the explosion-proof door needs to be opened, it is determined that ash accumulation is present, and thus the side door is opened for ash cleaning.) )
Yes, it’s the superheated steam coming from the remaining boiler, with a pressure of around 8 kilograms.
By changing it to a 3-cost mixed-fuel furnace, the problem of ash accumulation is solved.
We use Wuhan Hangyu soot blowers, and the results are good.
A telescopic blower is used for the high-temperature section, while a fixed blower is used for the low-temperature section; the medium used is low-pressure steam
A soot blower is needed, as well as high-pressure steam, for better results.
