In what operating conditions are orifice plate flow meters used? How is the installation method different from that of a conventional orifice plate flow meter?
The built-in orifice plate is a throttling device that combines the orifice plate with the measuring tube, and is mainly used for measuring small flow rates in pipes with small diameters of DN≤50mm. It can be used to measure small flow rates of gases under low or high pressure, such as chlorine, nitrogen, oxygen, methane, propane, etc., as well as small flow rates of clean liquids.
The built-in orifice plate is integrated with the transmitter, eliminating the need for a check valve and pressure guide tube.
