Help: Valve specification sheets and templates. The current method used in China for naming valve models does not specify details such as the material of the valve stem and internal components, the type of packing, the type of gasket for the middle flange, or the material of the fasteners used for the middle flange; as a result, it is not possible to fully describe the characteristics of the valves. Therefore, in accordance with the requirements for pressure pipelines, the valve specification sheet is used to describe and specify the ordering of valves. The general valve specification sheet shall include the following contents: (l) The standard code used ; (2) Name of the valve, nominal pressure, nominal diameter ; (3) Valve body material, valve body connection type ; (4) Material of the valve seat sealing surface ; (5) Valve stem and valve cover structure ; Materials for internal components such as valve stems, types of packing ; (6) Types of flange gaskets in the valve body, structure of fasteners, and materials ; (7) Valve code or label number proposed by the designer ; (8) Other special requirements.

The standard code for valves is generally the first letter of the Chinese name; if that first letter is already in use by another valve, then the first letter of the second character of the Chinese name is used instead. For example: Gate valve – Z; Globe valve – J; Check valve – H (since the character Z representing \"stop\" is already in use, H representing \"return\" is used instead); Pressure reducing valve – Y (since the character J representing \"reduce\" is already in use, Y representing \"pressure\" is used instead)
