What can the 531°C distillation in refining tell us?
Fractions with a temperature greater than 530 degrees are defined as residue.
Through a vacuum distillation tower, crude oil can be fractionated at 531 degrees, resulting in what is known as vacuum residue. Further deasphalting yields hard asphalt, and waxing the deasphalted oil produces residual lubricating oil and microcrystalline wax. Of course, whether these products can be produced is closely related to the properties of crude oil.
Vacuum residue should be the oil with a temperature of over 500 degrees that remains after vacuum distillation; it’s not 531 degrees – at 531 degrees, it has already turned into asphalt

There are probably two concepts here: the crude oil cutting temperature generally refers to the actual boiling point or distillation temperature, and abroad, a cutting point of more than 565 degrees is referred to as deep distillation. In China, the distillation value at 530 degrees is generally used as a criterion for evaluating deep distillation, yet this temperature is actually the Enneberg distillation temperature of the residue. So I guess what the original poster is referring to is this; the lower this value, the fewer light components there are in the vacuum residue, meaning the distillation process goes deeper.
