Our company plans to install two 35t circulating fluidized bed boilers, and we’re not sure which control system would be suitable. We would appreciate your advice. If a DCS control system is used, how much investment will that require? Looking at the current market
If the goal is simply to control these two boilers, a standard PLC will suffice for that purpose. Such a control system is not expensive, and all relevant data can be displayed on the control panel. DCC requires the addition of a host computer system, which increases costs significantly. In the control system of a boiler, excluding the equipment’s power distribution cabinet, the cost for a single unit is around 100,000. Adding a DCC system costs over a hundred thousand, plus the cost of installing the communication lines.
