It is still possible to follow the normal oil washing procedure; simply increase the temperature of the oil used for washing in the benzene washing tower gradually to 50–70 degrees, reduce the circulation volume appropriately, keep the temperature of the oil leaving the tubular furnace at around 120 degrees, and increase the amount of oil fed into the regenerator. During operation, it is necessary to pay close attention to any changes in the resistance in the oil washing pipelines, especially those related to the lean oil stream. However, using this method to address the resistance issue in benzene washing towers still fails to provide a permanent solution; accurately identifying the cause of high resistance is the minimum requirement for determining an effective solution.
