What are the precautions for long-term shutdown of steam pipelines? How to protect it?
Discontinue the drainage of condensate from the rear section; if possible, fill it with low-pressure nitrogen for protection.
Try to drain all the water from the pipes completely; if possible, use an air compressor to dry them out
After deactivation, wall thickness inspections should be carried out on areas such as elbows if necessary; if the condensate is completely drained, inert gas shielding must be applied.
