Questions regarding the registration for the Chemical Engineering exam.

My major was applied chemistry, and my diploma listed it as an engineering degree. I am currently working in chemical engineering design. However, the major required for the qualification exam, either in this field or a related one, does not include applied chemistry; moreover, the required years of work experience differ between the two. I’m not sure which category this major falls into now – please help!
I think the HR department is in charge of these matters; go and ask at the local registration office – it varies from place to place, with some places being more lenient and others stricter.
