The professional construction drawings for desulfurization processes are generally prepared in accordance with electrical standards; the main requirements are those set by electrical standards, and the construction work is usually carried out by companies specialized in electrical engineering, which facilitates smoother coordination. In some projects, the construction drawings are prepared by chemical engineering firms, but even in those cases, the electrical specifications are still followed. However, absorption towers and custom-made tanks are generally designed in accordance with chemical industry standards, as the power sector does not have such a specialized field; many of the designers for custom projects come from the chemical industry.

In fact, it’s basically the same in most cases, but the standard version used sometimes seems to vary; generally, the latest version is taken as the basis.

For things like thermal insulation and corrosion protection, as well as pipeline fittings, the electrical industry has its own standards, and those standards must be followed.
