In Sinopec’s management regulations, there is a provision stating: “Article 2: The construction, renovation, or expansion of oil depots must comply with **relevant standards; oil depots operated by oil field companies shall adhere to the provisions of GB 50183 ‘Code for Fire Protection Design of Oil and Gas Engineering’.”； The oil depots of refining and chemical enterprises comply with the provisions of GB 50160 \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises\" ； Oil depots of sales enterprises shall comply with the provisions of GB 50074 \"Code for Design of Oil Depots\". ” So in practical applications, **is this also the intention when formulating standards – to apply different standards to different types?** Because while reviewing the specifications, it was also found that the details specified for the same item varied among them. Different standards are naturally used for different objects, and each standard specifies the relevant guidelines based on its applicability. As mentioned by the original poster, there is indeed a difference in the details specified for the same thing, as standards are constantly being upgraded and improved. Therefore, first, compare the different versions, giving priority to the latest one. Second, consider the industry in which the standard is used; industry-specific standards generally have higher requirements regarding details. Third, adopt the standard with the higher requirement levels.
Firstly, all of the above refer to oil depots; their functional properties are the same, with the only difference being the nature of the enterprises involved. According to what was said on the second floor, is it in line with Sinopec’s regulations that, based on a certain standard, other standards are lowered by one tier? If that is the case, it’s possible that other standards set higher and more detailed requirements than those set by Sinopec. How should this problem be addressed?
