Overall plant pipeline height: The top of the pipe supports should be at least 0.4m above the ground level. What if it’s not a plant-wide pipeline? Is the same requirement applied to the height of the pipe supports as well? Where does the value of 0.4m come from?
Where does the value of 0.4m come from? It is to ensure that the pipeline is not too close to the ground, otherwise the space will be too tight, making it impossible to carry out welding, insulation and anti-corrosion treatment, as well as installing flange bolts.
This issue needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis; there are no fixed requirements, as long as the general principles are not violated. For example, for pipes in a facility with a DN150 diameter, it’s not necessary to make them 400 units high.
The minimum requirement for the tank area is 0.3 meters.
The height of the top of the pipe support above the ground level should not be less than 0.4 m. For pipes that run throughout the entire plant along pipe supports or pipe racks, what is the required clearance between the bottom of these pipes and the ground level? Answer: The height of the pipe pier above the ground should not be less than 0.4m ； When considering passage beneath the pipe enclosure, the clear height from the ground to the bottom of the lowest pipeline must be no less than 2.1 m ； When traffic passage is not considered below the pipe outline, it can be 1.6m. The layer spacing of multi-layer pipe racks should be determined based on the pipe diameter and the structure of the rack, but it should not be less than 1.2 m.
