What is the function of a compressor unloader? Thank you!

The unloader works by using N2 pressure to enter the cylinder, pushing one of the valve plates in the air valve open and keeping the intake valve in an open position; as a result, such an intake valve cannot be opened or closed and cannot function. Generally, out of 4 intake valves, 2 will not function, resulting in a load of only 50%, thereby achieving control over the load.

What is the specific working mechanism of a unloader? Is it designed with a hole in the cylinder, or does it use a valve disc? If it has a hole in the cylinder, then when air supply is suddenly stopped, the unloader releases pressure; typically, such unloaders are equipped with mushroom-shaped air valves. In the case of a valve disc, the air valve retains pressure when air supply is stopped, which means that air is supplied to the unloader during the interlocked start-up process of this compressor.

The unloader is used to control the compressor’s intake valve, as well as to regulate the compressor’s exhaust volume. The purpose of the unloader is to control whether the air valve is open or closed. Increasing the load means removing the nitrogen applied to the gas valve ; Load reduction is achieved by applying nitrogen to the gas valve through a unloader; when the gas valve is in the open position, the compressor cannot compress gas, resulting in zero load.
