In DSTWU calculations, the yield of a component at the top of the tower is specified, assumed to be 98%. In precise calculations, we specify the concentration of that component in the stream. Is it possible to maintain a yield of 98% when the concentration we specify is higher than that obtained through simplified calculations?
The specified concentration is higher than the simply calculated concentration because the benchmark has changed. The yield changes due to the effect of the reflux ratio; the difference should not be significant.
The radfrac module can also limit the yield according to the design specifications, right?
If the concentration is high, it also depends on the flow rate of the product at the top of the tower; the design specifications should be sufficient to meet your requirements.
