Does the on-site level gauge of the new equipment need to be recalibrated? Why
Calibration? What does it mean? After our standard equipment is delivered to the site, the level gauge may have its pointer not return to zero due to the vibrations during transportation; it can be adjusted to zero on-site.
The poster is referring to calibration; after the equipment is installed on site, all accessories, including the level gauge, need to be calibrated before they can be used.
Does the on-site level gauge of the new equipment need to be recalibrated? What does it mean? Does it refer to measurement calibration or indicating the warning levels (normal, maximum, minimum liquid levels, alarm levels)?
The equipment is equipped with both remote and on-site level gauges. The on-site level gauge is calibrated using water before it is used for measuring levels; since the density of the working medium differs from that of water, the calibration values differ from those shown by the on-site level gauge. I still don’t understand why this is necessary, and I didn’t grasp what the technicians were trying to explain
