I want to produce active pharmaceutical ingredients. I’ve found a manufacturer for (Atro), and they want me to produce their products as well. I prefer to be paid on a monthly basis, but they propose reducing the monthly salary and offering me a share of the profits from the projects. I agreed to the latter option and now I regret it; I have no idea how the split will be done. Does anyone have any experience?
A verbal agreement regarding profit sharing is difficult to actually fulfill; a written agreement is necessary. Additionally, my advice is to avoid a commission-based system for any work other than sales, as it’s difficult to manage on an individual level.
