If the diameters of the rollers are inconsistent, the belt will deviate to the side with the larger diameter (it moves upward rather than downward). If the problem lies in the manufacturing of the rollers, then they need to be properly processed and adjusted ; If the material is sticking to the surface of the drum, the drum surface should be cleaned. If the frame is not properly aligned and sways from side to side, the frame should be corrected or reinforced. If the entire belt is skewed to one side, with the greatest deviation occurring at the joints, the belt joints need to be adjusted properly. Skewing occurs when there is load, but not when there is no load. Improper feeding or uneven loading can also cause this issue; if it’s not possible to resolve improper or uneven feeding, measures such as adjusting the position of the feed chutes or installing self-aligning idlers can be taken. If the belt is damaged, partial skewing may occur – damage to the edges of the belt results in different frictional forces on each side, so the belt should be repaired or replaced promptly. If the new belt still skews, it may be because it’s too thick, resulting in poor tracking; this issue can usually be corrected after using it for some time
