Why are the sealing gaskets of the programmable valves in pressure swing adsorption being damaged by erosion in a regular pattern?
Whether the material of the gasket is suitable for that fluid medium, whether there are solid particles in the pipeline (solder slag, rust, debris) that could damage the gasket as the valve operates, and then there are also issues related to the valve’s structure. Besides, cavitation is inevitable; it’s not surprising if the valve breaks down after reaching its service life. That’s all I know
What does it mean to be regularly worn away by erosion? It only indicates a quality issue
A programmable valve is a type of valve with a limited service life; it functions properly within that period. Once that time limit is reached, various inevitable problems arise, which is why the sealing rings of such valves often need to be replaced regularly.
1. Is there an issue with the choice of material for the gasket? 2. The quality of the gasket. 3. Whether the gas contains adsorbent particles or dust.
The service life of the programmable valves in pressure swing adsorption systems is relatively short, as they undergo more switching cycles than ordinary programmable valves; therefore, regular replacement of valve gaskets and other maintenance actions are essential to ensure the stability of the process. The cost of repairing a set of pressure swing adsorption oxygen generation equipment in our factory (including valve repair kits) is comparable to the cost of repairing a set of nitrogen production machines (using low-temperature processes).
