Is it true that one can only apply for the exam if they work in a design institute doing design work? Is it not possible to work in design at a chemical plant?
I have the same question: if one works in a manufacturing unit, is it possible to apply? And would passing such an exam help in finding a job at a design firm?
I work in a chemical manufacturing company, focusing on research and development. I have been there for 10 months now, and last year I took the preliminary exam for becoming a registered chemical engineer and passed it
It’s possible to take the exam; just provide a certificate
No, it depends on what you are taking the exam for. If it’s a basic course, then as long as you are a citizen of the People’s Republic of China and have the required educational qualifications, that’s sufficient. But for more specialized courses, you need a certificate issued by your employer. . .
One would need the approval of the employer to be able to take this exam, right? **It certainly can’t be a system where one can take the exam whenever they want; otherwise, it wouldn’t have any value.
Does the certificate issued by the company refer to a company with design qualifications or the company where one works (which does not have such qualifications)?
Approval from a unit means that a company with design qualifications is required; in other words, those who are not design firms must be affiliated with such a company.
Is affiliation obtained at the time of getting the certificate, that is, when passing the basic and professional exams? I would like to ask whether, when applying for a professional examination, the certificate issued by the employer needs to come from an organization with design qualifications or from the employer itself (which does not have such qualifications)
Those with a bachelor’s degree in a chemical engineering-related field can apply for the basic exam. After passing the basic exam, they can proceed to take the professional exam; once they pass that exam and obtain the relevant certification, they can find a company with design qualifications to work under
There’s no one to oversee the basic exam, and the pass rate is very high. But professional exams are difficult and subject to review, as a certificate has to be issued in the end.
Is it required to have a certificate of work experience issued by a qualified engineering design firm when applying for a professional exam? If one only passes the basic exam but fails the professional exam, then there is no certificate at all, right?
The professional aspect seems necessary, but the basics aren’t required

The basic examination does not require the sealing entity to have any specific qualifications; however, for the professional examination, such an entity is required to possess design qualifications. If the entity in question does not have these qualifications, it must find a way – through connections or payment, for example – to obtain the signature of a local or provincial entity that does have design qualifications. There’s nothing to do about it – the application requirements explicitly state that a certificate of experience in design work must be provided by an organization with design qualifications.
I work in chemical production at CNPC; my job has nothing to do with design. If I pass the professional exam, will I be able to obtain the certificate?
In principle, but you can find a way:P

Is a certificate from a company with design qualifications required? Urgently need a response
It is recommended to find a qualified organization first; otherwise, it will be required when registering later, as registration must be done through such an organization. Those without the necessary qualifications cannot carry out registration, and they would have to change it, which is troublesome.
