In alkali scrubber towers, the water supply and discharge volumes often remain unstable, resulting in large fluctuations in the liquid level within the tower. This causes operational difficulties for the staff. If any of you have any effective solutions, please share them.
Is it due to unstable supply of the alkali cleaning solution, or unstable airflow? Let’s prescribe the right treatment again!
Add automatic control for water replenishment and discharge
Going back to floors 2 and 3: The metering pump used for water supply delivers uneven amounts of water, and waste alkali residues often clog the pipelines during drainage. There is no issue with the alkali supply – do any of you have any good suggestions?
Install automatic water level control and set up a compressed air cleaning system.
A metering pump belongs to the category of reciprocating pumps, and its outlet flow rate is an instantaneous value, which is reflected in fluctuations in outlet pressure and flow rate. Simply by adding a damper at the pump outlet, the pressure and flow rate at the pump outlet can be stabilized. The drainage pipes are blocked by waste alkali residues; this may be due to low temperatures, crystallization of the alkali solution, or salt precipitation. Adding a heater to the alkali solution circulation pipeline to maintain the temperature should resolve the issue.
Our unit has just started operating, and it’s completely impossible to control the liquid levels at the second and third stages. We’re struggling a lot on site; I wonder how you guys manage to solve this issue? ?
