Can a pressure regulator be used for exhaust gas treatment?

I was wondering that there are many projects in the environmental protection industry focused on exhaust gas treatment, and I’d like to know what kind of valves they usually use – manual ones? Is a voltage regulator being used?
The exhaust gas treatment in our company is under automatic control, with automatic control valves being used. Since the entire system operates at a slight negative pressure, pressure regulators are not necessary. The issue mentioned by the poster should be determined based on the specific production circumstances. It depends on the overall condition of the production workshop where the exhaust is generated.
