Industrial surveillance cameras cannot see clearly in foggy conditions; is there any way to solve this problem?
This problem seems quite difficult; looking forward to a solution
If the lens gets foggy, swimming goggles and car windshields have anti-fog coatings, so there should be something similar available for lenses as well. You could also consider getting a insulated box with glass. If the visibility in visible light is low, then infrared cameras might be considered. Last edited by RainWolf on 2009-2-12 12:00]

There are fog-penetrating cameras, but they are expensive
Outdoor models can use cameras with anti-icing features, built-in heaters, and air circulation systems.
If it’s to be kept simple, just one word will do: \"wipe\". If you want a permanent solution, there seems to be some type of coating; I can’t remember exactly which one. There’s also a DIY method involving connecting instrument air through a tube and blowing it at the lens.
Generally, the tripod is equipped with wipers that can be used to wipe it clean. To be honest, it’s hard to see clearly even in foggy weather; how can you expect a camera to be able to see clearly under such conditions? I heard there are infrared surveillance sensors; maybe those will work.
It is available in some automatic brushing camera solutions.
The infrared camera + infrared light solution can be considered. But the transmission distance of infrared light in fog isn’t very far either.
