I’m not sure about “space”, but “dingniu” probably refers to the tool used during disassembly, namely a “jack”.
A jacking tool such as a jack should be used; the term “SPACE” refers to ‘using a chain hoist to protect the entrance SPACE’. I originally thought it referred to the gap between the bolts in the flange holes, but ‘protecting with butter in SPACE’ seems to refer more to the threaded ends of the bolts.
By “space”, I think it refers to components such as pipes or valve inlets, valve seats, etc. “Toping” probably refers to tools like jacks.
