In the JB/T4712.1-2007 standard for saddle supports, how are the grounding bolt holes provided on the reinforcement plates used in practice? Does it serve the same purpose as directly welding the floor?
This issue was discussed before, and its function is somewhat different. It’s generally not needed on-site
We use a ground plate; we don’t need those two bolt holes
It can be used or not. As long as the ground plate can be reliably connected to the saddle, that’s sufficient.
Who uses those holes these days? It is recommended that such holes be removed from the standards, to avoid having to machine them – something that is pointless, time-consuming, and also reduces strength.
