Regarding Q345B

In some construction plans, the material \"Q345B\" is mentioned; however, GB713 only specifies \"Q345R\", which is equivalent to 16MnR. I wonder if \"Q345B\" is specified in other standards as well"

Q345B cannot be used for compression components~~~
Q345B is generally used as structural steel; it is commonly referred to as low-alloy structural steel, and that’s what it usually means. Of course, there are also grades with higher strength. It is also included in JB/T 6736-93. This post was last edited by mychenlin on 2009-2-13 09:49]
Q345B is what is commonly referred to as 16Mn. It can be used as a heat-resistant material for temperatures ranging from 80 to 200 degrees; it offers better wear resistance than Q235A in environments with some dust. Q345R is used for manufacturing containers
Q345B is the same as 16Mn, and cannot be used to manufacture pressure-bearing components of pressure vessels.
GB1591 provides a detailed description in the standards related to pressure vessels.
The latest standards are mainly aligned with ISO standards!
