The ethylene section at the inlet to the three hot catalyst beds (the upper beds in each Alkylation Reactor compartment) has the lowest margin between the operating pressure and the bubble point of the reaction mixture. The ethylene bubble point margin is lowest at the hot beds because the temperature is higher and the pressure is lower than that in the catalyst beds below.
It’s the range within which operation is permissible. A bit more explanation: the term \"margin\" originally refers to a gap; this bed layer is supposed to be operated in a liquid phase. I think it would be better if the original poster provided some context……It has the lowest margin between the operating pressure and the bubble point of the reaction mixture……The reaction mixture has the smallest margin between the operating pressure and its bubble point pressure. After the first Margin, “between” is used to indicate this; the second Margin represents the range of bubble size changes caused by limited-condition variations
It is the difference between the bubble point pressure and the operating pressure; calling it a margin of safety is also appropriate. In any case, the operating pressure must not be lower than the bubble point pressure of the material mixture.
I think this place can also be translated as “limit”
