Regarding the classification of mineral powder, is it better to use a static classifier or a dynamic classifier – which one has advantages? What is the cost difference between dynamic classifiers and static classifiers? What is the difference in initial investment cost between dynamic classifiers and static classifiers?
The static classifier, commonly known as a coarse powder separator, relies on adjusting the blade angle and the opening of the air dampers to separate the powder; its efficiency is relatively low； There are three generations of dynamic classifiers: centrifugal types, cyclone types, and the new type of powder selector with a cage rotor. All of them require external power, offer high efficiency, but naturally also have high investment costs. The two types have different uses; for precise grading or ultra-fine powder separation, the non-dynamic type is naturally the appropriate choice.
