What should this be called – a jar/tank? I’d like to ask the members of the forum; thank you. :L
Please provide more information. It seems it can be called an emission tank or a vent tank.
It is called the high-level fuel tank API 614, which can be found in relevant documents
run-down tank: distillate receiving tank
rundown tank dumping tank

In chemical engineering terminology, \"run-down\" refers to the flow of fluid from a tower or tank at a \"higher level\" (either due to gravity or by pumping) to a storage tank/slot or to a container outside the system boundary, where it is no longer processed within that boundary. Sometimes it isn’t necessary to translate it, for example: naphtha run-down air-cooler – air cooler for naphtha products; product run-down – product residues; run-down tank – receiving tank
Yeah, a run-down place actually means “shabby” lol. In other words, it’s a matter of being accustomed to the prevailing practice.
What you explained earlier makes quite sense, but I don’t think translating “run-down tank” as “reception tank” is the most appropriate choice; in my opinion, “high-level tank” or “oil tank” would be better.
