I have seen in some equipment maintenance manuals that it is feasible to use patching repair techniques for areas with cracks inside the container. What exactly is the patching and repair technique? Are there anyone who is familiar with this technique?
I don’t know whether it belongs to the category below; find a piece of board, drill a threaded hole in it, weld it tightly around the crack, and then use a bolt to seal off the hole
First, the tendency for crack growth should be eliminated, after which a plate should be attached to the crack site and fully welded; vent holes can be provided.
