The following factors should be considered: 1. Issues with the service life of the refractory bricks at the base of the cone, or problems with the gaps between the bricks, which can lead to the leakage of syngas and thereby cause the brick support tray to overheat! 2. The syngas contains a high amount of ash, which causes this ash to accumulate at the bottom of the brick support tray; there is no effect of water in the syngas to wash away the debris at the bottom of the brick support tray ; 3. Is there a problem with the thermometer on the brick tray?
In addition to what was mentioned above, the thermometer used for monitoring the temperature of the slag tray during furnace construction wasn’t handled properly. Moreover, the heating process wasn’t carried out in accordance with the specified heating curve, which resulted in the moisture contained in the newly laid bricks and the pouring material not having time to evaporate; as a result, bubbles formed due to the high temperatures, and these bubbles were not able to escape. This can easily lead to loose brick joints, resulting in overheating.
I’d like to add one more thing personally. If the temperature of the turntable is high during operation, it may be because the oxygen supply at the center of the burner is set at a high level, causing the reaction flame to extend very low down
Two more points to add: 1. Deviation of process gas leads to higher temperatures in some areas. 2. The downcomer is cracked, causing a short circuit of the process gas.
Local water supply interruption in the quenching ring can also cause the temperature of the brick dragging plate to rise, as well as slag outlet blockage
