I usually* prefer to use Thunder for downloading. I open Thunder’s resource page, search for the file I need (for example, CAD2007); generally, the most downloaded resources appear at the top, and I also check the reviews others have left on those resources. Downloading resources with many positive reviews generally poses no problems.

It is said (just said) that odd-version AutoCAD is not reliable. Here is a download link (which also includes AutoCAD 2009 and some other commonly used software); AutoCAD 2008 is guaranteed to work well. Make sure to use a virtual optical drive for installation; the installer for the virtual optical drive is in the attachment I sent.
