After the boiler has been in operation for some time, a considerable amount of ash tends to accumulate on equipment such as superheaters and economizers. However, due to space constraints, it is difficult to clean the ash from these areas. I would appreciate your advice – how do you clean the dust from these areas?
Compressed air is blown to facilitate settlement and cleaning; compressed air is blown again... It is a natural settlement and cleaning process, during which air is drawn in.
Steam or acoustic ash removers can be used.
Long telescopic soot blowers are installed in the corresponding areas; steam blowing or ultrasonic blowing can both be used. Ultrasonic blowing yields good results and is more cost-effective. I’m not sure if the person asking the question is referring to the situation where soot cleaning still doesn’t work well even after such measures have been taken. If that’s the case, could it be due to issues with the placement of the soot blowers or the amount of cleaning performed?
The furnace is shut down for manual cleaning; shock wave soot blowing is more effective than acoustic wave soot blowing.
Soot blowers should be installed in all production facilities. The shock wave soot blowers we use now work quite well; in my previous workshop, steam soot blowers also gave good results. When the plant is shut down and catalyst or ash remains on the surfaces, a person can go inside the boiler and use compressed air to clean it thoroughly. But make sure that the valve leading to the chimney is open! !
The economizer of our company’s boilers is cleaned regularly using compressed air for soot blowing, while manual cleaning is carried out when the boilers are shut down during holidays.
Among the various dust removal products, acoustic waves represent a fairly good option.
