Are there any distance requirements for the high-mounted lights in the tank area?
It seems there were no tank area lights in the past; I’ve never seen such regulations now! ! ! It is recommended to set it appropriately according to the on-site conditions! ! :handshake :victory:
All the lights I design are placed outside the fire dike; even if they are explosion-proof, there are still safety risks if they are located inside the fire dike, and no distance requirements apply
The tank area at our company’s northern factory (for storing Class A materials) uses lighthouses, with lightning rods installed on their tops; Southern factories use high-mast lights along roads in non-explosion-proof areas for lighting, with lightning rods installed at their tops as well. For reference!
Our facilities are all located outside the fire zone; it seems that as long as a certain level of lighting intensity is maintained, that’s sufficient.
The layout of the high-mast lights must be considered on the general plan: key areas and lighting areas. During installation: it must not be located within the fire dike, as the wiring control room for the tall pole is situated at the bottom end of the lamp post ; Second, there is a certain area around the lamp post to facilitate the descent of the lamp holder.
According to the design specifications, as long as it is not in an explosion-hazardous area, and considering that spaced-out lighting meets the requirements, etc., it is acceptable.
The lighting in our company’s tank area is installed outside the fire dike, at the four corners of the dike, with lightning rods mounted on the lamp posts.
How are lightning protection measures for lamp post walls specified?
Just build square lamp posts outside the fire dike
All the lights in our factory are located outside the fire dike; they serve as beacons, use explosion-proof lamps, and are equipped with lightning protection and grounding systems.
What aspects need to be considered in the design of high-mast lights for chemical plant tank areas: height? Illuminance? Distance?
