3.2 How to determine leaks in process burners: In actual production, our company’s automatic analyzer A1305 for cooling water vent gases often gives false alarms, which makes it difficult to identify faults. Only through a comprehensive analysis of variables such as P1313, T1318, T1319, F1319, and FI320 can it be determined that there is a leak in the burner coil: if the pressure of P1313 increases, the temperature of T1319 rises, the flow rate of F1319 decreases while the flow rate of F1320 increases, and these changes follow a certain pattern. In such cases, it is necessary to shut down the equipment immediately to prevent the accident from worsening. In normal operation, manual analyses of the CO content in the released gas should be performed twice a week to calibrate the automatic analyzer. 3.3 Handling after shutdown: Since the temperature of the gasification furnace is around 1400’E, high-temperature air currents can enter the burner cooling water system, causing the leakage point to expand within a short time and leading to an accident. Therefore, proper handling after shutdown is particularly important. After this shutdown, valves XVl318 and XV1319 were not closed in a timely manner. It was only later that it was observed at the site that the amount of gas released was very high, the return water pipes for cooling water became overheated, and the anti-corrosion coating on the surfaces of those pipes was burned off; it was then that these two valves were finally closed. Based on this experience, we believe that if the leakage amount is small and the backflow volume is low, it is not necessary to close the inlet and outlet valves in order to protect the burner ; If the leakage is severe, the inlet and outlet valves must be closed promptly to prevent the incident from worsening.
