Thus, q2 = (1300 × 60 × 1.5) / (2 × 8 × 3600) = 2.03 (L/S). The total water flow required at the site is: q3 = q1 + q2 = 9.375 (L/S) + 2.03 (L/S) = 10.625 (L/S). For fire-fighting purposes, the water flow requirement is q4 = 11 (L/S). Since 10.625 (L/S) < 11 (L/S), the total water consumption is taken as Q1 = q4 = 11 (L/S). To determine the diameter of the water supply pipe, D1 = 1/2, with V = 1.5 m/s; this results in a diameter of 0.097 m. A water supply pipe with a diameter of DN100 mm will be sufficient to meet the requirements. DN50mm galvanized water pipes are used as the branch pipes in the residential area. Drainage system: All types of wastewater from the construction site must be treated and, once they meet the required standards, discharged into the urban drainage network. Drainage ditches are installed along temporary facilities, the perimeters of buildings, and construction roads, with appropriate drainage slopes provided. It seems that there are no corresponding regulations or requirements; if nothing is specified in the contract, the two parties can also negotiate and sign a supplementary agreement to the contract later on; Additionally, it is recommended to check the original project budget quote to see if temporary water usage for construction has been included. To use water temporarily for construction purposes, a request for temporary water use must be submitted to the owner in advance. The temporary water supply pipelines are laid underground, with the burial depth exceeding that of the frozen soil. The pipes are connected by welding; after the trench is dug, the bottom of the trench is compacted with plain soil before the pipelines are laid. Good-quality soil is used for the bottom layer of backfill; after it is buried to a depth of 300 mm, it is watered and compacted before the next layer of fill is added. The part of the pipeline that is exposed above the ground surface is insulated with 40 mm thick centrifugal glass wool to prevent cracking due to freezing in winter.
